VENICE BIENNALE : THE RUSSIAN PAVILLION PRESENTS THE SKOLKOVO PROJECT

On the occasion of the 13th Venice Biennale of Architecture, the Russian pavilion presents the Skolkovo project through an interactive scenography conceived by Serguei Tchoban and called I-CITY.
Visitors are invited to discover the project using QR codes lining the pavilion to bring up virtual images of the future city.

SKOLKOVO PROJECT

Located several kilometers south-west of Moscow, the Skolkovo Innovation and Research Project aims to empower Russia to develop state of the art scientific research and development capacities in several domains: medicine, electronics, nuclear technologies, space exploration, biological studies, etc..
In July 2010, Jean Pistre was appointed President of the Skolkovo Urban Council, which consists of international personalities such as Pierre de Meuron, Kazuyo Sejima, David Chipperfield, Stefano Boeri, Yuri Gregorian, Serguei Tchoban.
Valode & Pistre is in charge of developing the Technopark district, on of the primary core of the new city.
