MODERNIZATION OF THE PORTE DE VERSAILLES EXHIBITION PARK
As part of the call for tender launched by the City of Paris and won by VIPARIS, Valode & Pistre have been placed in charge of the Master Plan for the entire project to modernize the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Park. After 10 years of work, the Master Plan, which includes the future Triangle Tower, will bring the park up to the highest international level in a landscaped setting. It will include 7 pavilions covering a surface area of 210,000 m2, a 50,000 m2 convention center and a hotel complex. Valode & Pistre, who have already completed pavilions 4 & 5, are the architects in charge of renovating pavilion 7 and the convention center as well as developing large outdoor reception and circulation areas. These projects are scheduled for completion in 2018. Dominique Perrault, Christian de Portzamparc and Jean Nouvel have worked with Valode & Pistre to offer their vision of pavilions 1, 3 and 6 and thus provide a showcase for French architecture on the theme of the universal exhibition.
