First league match in the Lille Main Stadium

The First league match in the Lille Main Stadium took place on august the 18th.

Both a 50,000-seat stadium and a flexible performance venue, the Grand Stade project in Lille is attractive for the originality of its architecture and its mixed-use program. Enveloped by a translucent shell with rounded angles, the stadium has an immense luminous screen that forms its urban façade. A movable roof consisting of two sliding panels enables the open-air stadium to be converted into an immense covered hall. Another arena, located under the movable playing field, appears as a prolongation of the stands. This arrangement multiplies the types of sports and performances the new facility can host.
